3VR ANNOUNCES NETWORK VIDEO RECORDER (NVR) WITH SEARCHABLE SURVEILLANCE

3VR SmartSearch™ NVR Delivers Industry-leading Search, Facial Recognition and Video Analytics in a Network Only Form Factor

San Francisco, CA — April 14, 2008 –3VR Security, Inc today announced the availability of the 3VR SmartSearch™ NVR, a network video recording appliance that supports a completely IP environment with the same intelligent video management features as the award-winning 3VR SmartRecorder™.

Powered by a search engine with integrated video analytics, the SmartSearch NVR is a combined hardware and software solution that is specifically tuned for the demands of IP and megapixel cameras. With larger, faster disk subsystems tuned for writing IP video, the SmartSearch NVR is a complete turn-key solution for monitoring, recording, analyzing, and searching video across the enterprise.

Just like the 3VR SmartRecorder, the SmartSearch NVR supports searchable surveillance including facial recognition, license plate recognition (LPR)/optical character recognition (OCR) and other advanced video analytics, transaction/POS and access control integration. The SmartSearch NVR is purpose-built for optimal hardware for processing, storage, and management of video data. Central management capabilities also make enterprise implementations simple and efficient to maintain.

The SmartSearch NVR can support up to 32 VGA MJPEG or dual stream MPEG/MPEG4 IP cameras including the 3VR SmartCam™ as well as third party megapixel cameras. It is available through certified 3VR Channel Partners.
