You can use OpCenterSM Remote, SystemManagerSM, and AlertViewerSM to connect to a 3VR server behind a firewall.
3VR SmartRecorders use the following ports to communicate with client systems:
TCP Port | Functionality |
| 3043, 3044 | Enables basic data access, monitoring, and management |
| 3001 | Allows client applications to log errors, statistics, and user actions |
| 2500 | Allows user to view live video |
| 3020 | Allows remote upgrades, restarts, and network settings changes |
The three different client applications require different ports:
Application | 3043 | 3001 | 2500 | 3020 | 3044 |
| OpCenter | X | X | X | ||
| SystemManager | X | X | X | X | |
| AlertViewer | X | X |
If you have a 3VR Enterprise Appliance, you will need to open ports 3045 and 1801 in addition to those listed above.
Note: port 1801 only needs to be open between the Enterprise Appliance and all SmartRecorders on the enterprise, and does not need to be open to client systems.
Some 3VR plug-ins require additional ports - see the plug-in documentation for more information.
